چکیده
As part of Local Conversion and Implementation Plan which is based on the EUROCONTROL Revised Convention the Republic of Croatia has undertaken to make a plan of implementing the Basic Continuous Descent Approach procedures. This paper addresses the issue of navigational path optimization for the A-319/320 commercial aircraft within the fleet of Croatia Airlines, during the approach part of flight, which has a positive effect on fuel consumption, greenhouse gas emission and area of surface affected by noise. The experiments were carried out in real conditions, using internal sensors onboard (Flight Data Recorder) and independent GPS system. Two types of approach were tested: Continuous Descent Approach (CDA) and StepDownApproach. The implementation of CDA procedures, just for the fleet of Airbus 320/319 aircraft of the Croatia Airlines results in approximate calculation in fuel saving which amounts to 1.5 x 106 kg annually (only on Zagreb airport). In this way, the productiveness of an air carrier, which is an integral part of the traffic process along with the airports and air traffic control, is directly increased, thus fulfilling the purpose of air traffic technology research.

متن کاملCapital Flight and Economic Growth in Iran
Beginning in the mid-1980s, the phenomenon of capital flight from developing countries received considerable attention in the economics literature. Capital flight destroys the domestic macroeconomic environment and decreases transparency and accountability. It restricts financial resources when a country is looking for economic growth and development. The purpose of this article is to measure t...

متن کاملInvestigation of Potential Fuel Savings Due to Continuous-Descent Approach
The continuous-descent approach is among the key concepts of the Next Generation Air Transportation System. Although a considerable number of researchers have been devoted to the estimation of potential fuel savings of the continuous-descent approach, fewhave attempted to explain the fuel savings observed in field tests from an analytical point of view. This paper focuses on the evaluation of t...
متن کاملFlight Path Angle Steering with Lambert Guidance Reference
In this paper a new guidance technique for ballistic missiles and launch vehicles is proposed. Generally the Lambert guidance is used to generate missile nominal (correlated) parameters through powered flight to put it in a ballistic flight path. Because of uncertainties and undesired factors, the nominal position and velocity obtained by Lambert technique need to be followed in actual flight. ...
